Consistent service, reliable products

This was my third time purchasing a certificate from SSL.com. I've used them for a while now, primarily for Wildcard SSL Certificates across a few different projects. The validation process was quick again, just like my previous orders, and the certificate was issued within a day. No fuss, no drama. It's this consistency that keeps me coming back when I need a new cert or a renewal. Always reliable, which is what I need.

Got my EV Code Signing fast!

Needed an EV Code Signing Certificate quickly for a new software release, and SSL.com delivered! The validation was super speedy, which really helped me out. Got it all set up within a couple of days. The price was competitive too, especially compared to others I've looked at. I'll definitely be buying from them again for future projects and have already told my colleague about them. Great service!

Easy setup for my website

I was a first-time buyer and needed a Basic SSL for my small site. The whole process, from choosing to installation, was straightforward. I even snagged a bit of a discount for a multi-year plan, which felt like a good deal. It made my site secure without breaking the bank, so it definitely felt worth it.

Trying to figure out the difference between their Basic and Premium SSL. Is it worth paying more for Premium if I just have a small e-commerce site?

L Linda Nguyen 1 month ago
Premium usually means higher assurance, so they do more checks on your identity. For a small e-commerce, Basic might be enough if you're just starting, but Premium gives more trust signals to customers.

I think Premium often comes with things like a site seal which can look better. Basic is just encryption. If you handle payments, might be worth the upgrade for the extra validation and trust mark.

How quick is the validation process for a basic SSL? Need to get a site up and running asap.

G Grace T. 3 weeks ago
For basic, it's pretty fast. I think mine was done within an hour or two once I submitted everything. Depends on how quickly you confirm the domain.

Mine took a bit longer, maybe half a day. They do have different validation levels, so a 'basic' one should be super quick if all your info is in order.

My organization is a non-profit. Do they offer any special discounts for non-profits or educational institutions?

J Justin Thomas 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure I saw something about non-profit discounts in their FAQ. You should definitely reach out to them directly or check their site.

Yep, they do! I remember seeing it when I was looking at their bulk pricing. It's usually a pretty decent percentage off too.

Anyone know if they do automated renewals with ACME like Let's Encrypt? Or is it all manual reissuing?

L Laura Moore 3 weeks ago
I think they do support ACME now! It's relatively new IIRC, but should be an option for easier renewals.

B Ben Robinson 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I've heard they've added ACME support. Makes life a lot easier than manually reissuing every year, especially for multiple certs.

Is SSL.com legit? I see a lot of other big names out there like DigiCert and Sectigo. Just making sure this isn't some fly-by-night operation.

A Alex T. 1 month ago
Totally legit. They're a proper CA, been around for a while. Browsers trust their certs, which is the main thing.

L Leah Wright 1 month ago
Yeah, they're fine. Not as huge as some of the others maybe, but completely trustworthy. I've used their certs on a few projects without issues.

What's their refund policy like? Just in case I screw up the order or something.

A Amber K. 1 week ago
I had to cancel an order once, and it was pretty straightforward. I think you have a few days to request a refund, but check their exact terms on their site.

B Brian Garcia 6 days ago
They're usually good with refunds as long as you're quick about it. Don't wait too long after issuance though.

Hey, thinking about getting a wildcard SSL from these guys. Anyone know if they have any active coupons or deals for them right now?

S Sam Clark 1 month ago
I grabbed a wildcard last month and the best deal was just doing a multi-year. The coupon field is there at checkout but I didn't see anything specific for wildcards beyond the longer term discount.

P Patricia Scott 1 month ago
Yeah, check if they have a Black Friday or Cyber Monday thing coming up. Sometimes they do special promos then. Otherwise, the multi-year is usually your best bet for savings.
